Zayda's Hot Pickles

My friend picked these up at Cosmi's along with some cheesesteaks and they are pretty much the best pickles of all time. Nice & crisp and HOT. Dibruno Brothers in center city also makes a decent bright green half sour.

So if you want to support philadelphia and eat the best pickles- there is no reason to buy a jar of brown, soggy corporate pickles ever again.

i agree. i love the half sours. di brunos are almost the same as famous fourth streets. the south philly taproom has those hot pickles too.

Thanks for the pickle advice. I was a big fan of a brand called (I believe) "Philadelphia's Finest" pickles---both mild and hot---but my local healthfood store says the company went out of business. Arghhh!! Just posting here to see if anyone knows if that is true or not. Can't find any sign of the company on the web: if you're out there, I will BUY your pickles directly from you! I will come ot your house and pick them up! I will come help you MAKE them!! Please just let me have my pickles again. cwanko@verizon.net

I highly recommend visiting the above website.

Not only is there information on purchasing pickles and pigs feet, but animated dancing pickles, short stories, ultimate frisbee statistics, and pickle comics.

Pretty much the best website of all time.
