When you live on the west coast, things like Dairyland just don't exist. Maybe that's why I stick it out through the rough winters and humid summers of Philly, for the random discoveries of things like Dairyland.
I mean you can get a Snyder's Pretzal cone ( I know I know I was kicking myself for not getting one......) You can get 2 hot dogs and an ice cream for under 3 bucks. You can get soft serve, turkey chili, hard pack ice cream, a handmade chipwich and a malted milkshake. Oh and it's a drive-thru, with handwritten menus, and it's next to the drive thru beer distributer!
Seriously this is just the beginning of sunny days and places like this.
Hey, that's in Roxborough, right??
ReplyDeleteyes i think it is!
ReplyDeleteI used to live right down the street from Dairyland. Though the cow facade is real cute, I must admit I am a loyal Custard Stand customer
ReplyDeleteUm, I have to disagree with becky. I used to live down the street from Dairyland as well and for a while I was eating 2 pints a day. Dairy land rocks! Way more than the Custard Stand. Dairyland will give you as much fro yo in your gelati as you want...the Custard Stand will only give you a dollop of fro yo on yor gelati because they say that the layered gelati is pattented by Ritas. BS!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletei have to disagree with becky. I am a huge fan of dairyland. I only went to Custard stand once, and guess what?!?? THEY DONT SERVE CUSTARD!so i left and never went back
